According to Al Jazeera, Iran says it will reopen the Strait of Hormuz within seven days if the United States agrees to a proposed plan.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi made the statement from the United Nations, saying the decision now rests with the US.

The proposal is based on a Memorandum of Understanding previously agreed upon and brokered in June.
