According to Al Jazeera, an Israeli airstrike hit and destroyed Al-Muttaqin Mosque in Gaza City on 28 July 2026.

Video footage showed a powerful explosion at the mosque, which is located next to Yarmouk Stadium.

Dozens of displaced people were sheltering in tents near the stadium when the strike occurred. Several Palestinians were injured, Al Jazeera reported.
