Sesame seeds are available in various colors, including white, yellow, and black, and have been a staple in traditional Asian cuisine for centuries. Black sesame seeds are recognized for their higher nutritional content compared to their white counterparts, boasting increased levels of fat, protein, and carbohydrates. However, the nutritional values referenced are based on a consumption of 100 grams, which may be challenging for most individuals to consume regularly.
While sesame seeds are commonly used as garnishes in dishes like stir-fries and curries, they are also integral in products such as tahini and halva.
