According to ABC News, Gold Coast edged Port Adelaide by three points, Western Bulldogs handed Sydney its first defeat of the AFLW season, North Melbourne stretched its record-winning streak to 31 matches, and Brisbane defeated GWS in round four.

Daisy D’Arcy collected 34 disposals and 694 metres gained as Gold Coast beat Port Adelaide 2.5 (17) to 1.8 (14) in Adelaide. The Suns, who fielded nine first-year players, claimed their second win of the season. Havana Harris kicked the match-winning goal at the 11-minute mark of the third quarter, while neither side scored a major in the final term. The result left both teams with 2-2 records.

At Whitten Oval, the Bulldogs trailed Sydney by four points at three-quarter time before kicking five unanswered goals with the breeze to win 9.6 (60) to 5.3 (33). Emma McDonald kicked three final-quarter goals after registering two behinds across the first three quarters. Rylie Wilcox also kicked three goals and had a game-high 26 disposals. Chloe Molloy kicked two goals in the third term for the Swans, whose opening three victories had come against Adelaide, Essendon and St Kilda.

North Melbourne beat St Kilda by 92 points, winning 14.15 (99) to 1.1 (7) after the Saints recorded the first behind of the match. Tahlia Randall kicked five goals and Kate Shierlaw added four, including three in the first half. Ash Riddell had 39 possessions and a goal, while Jasmine Garner recorded 38 possessions and 11 clearances. Ash Richards kicked St Kilda’s only goal.

Brisbane completed the day with a 31-point victory over GWS at Ipswich, winning 7.13 (55) to 3.6 (24). Shanae Davidson kicked two goals for the Lions, who remained on the fringe of the top eight behind eighth-placed Richmond on percentage.
