Caroline Dubois floored a bloodied Terri Harper before outpointing her British rival to become the unified lightweight world champion at London’s Olympia. Dubois dropped Harper with a classy jab and left hook in the sixth round and maintained a strong performance throughout the fight, ultimately winning by a unanimous decision.

According to BBC News, the judges scored the contest 98-91, 97-92, and 98-91 in favor of Dubois, who now adds Harper’s WBO title to her own WBC belt. Despite suffering a nasty cut after a clash of heads in the eighth round, Harper displayed resilience, continuing to fight until the end.

The match began slowly, with both fighters cautiously feeling each other out. However, Dubois ignited the contest with a sharp double jab followed by a left hook that sent Harper to the canvas. The atmosphere shifted as Dubois increased her tempo, landing powerful shots that visibly affected Harper.

Dubois, now boasting an unbeaten record of 13 wins and one draw, expressed her respect for Harper after the fight, acknowledging the challenge posed by her opponent. Harper, a three-weight world champion, now holds a record of 16 wins, three defeats, and two draws.

This event marked the first United Kingdom show staged by Most Valuable Promotions and the return of world championship boxing to the historic venue for the first time in decades, showcasing the talent and determination of both fighters in a highly anticipated showdown.
