Israeli settlers have intensified their attacks on Palestinian villages in the occupied West Bank, targeting essential resources such as water supplies and electricity. According to Al Jazeera, Israeli settler attacks on Palestinian villages and agricultural land rose by 130% since 2023.

Recent incidents include the destruction of the main electricity line supplying the village of al-Maniya, which cut power to the community and caused panic among residents. This marked the second attack on the village’s electricity infrastructure within a week.

In another incident, Israeli settlers vandalized agricultural greenhouses near the Shufa military checkpoint, damaging facilities owned by a local family. Additionally, settlers seized control of the Ein Rawabi spring, a vital water source for Bedouin communities, threatening the livelihoods of local shepherds and their livestock.

The Jerusalem Governorate highlighted the significance of the spring, stating it is the only water source for approximately 1,300 sheep in the area. The seizure of this source poses a direct threat to the livelihoods of dozens of Bedouin families.

Mohammad Salameh, a resident of Jalud village, reported that settlers occupied his property while he was constructing a home for his son. He expressed concern for his neighbors as illegal settlements continue to encroach upon Palestinian communities. Salameh’s experience reflects a broader trend of increasing violence and land seizures linked to settlement expansion in the region.
