According to France 24, the European Union is due to hold an emergency video conference on Tuesday following a mass migrant crossing at Spain’s North African enclave of Ceuta.

Spain has installed a 500-metre-long sea barrier between Ceuta and neighbouring Morocco after tens of thousands of migrants breached the border earlier this week. At least 67 people died in the attempt, France 24 reported.

Most of the people who crossed the border quickly returned to Morocco. The incident has reignited debate over immigration in Europe and beyond.
