Four individuals were hospitalized after a shooting incident in Brixton, south London, early Saturday morning. The Metropolitan Police responded to reports of a firearm discharge on Coldharbour Lane.

Among the injured, a 25-year-old man is in a life-threatening condition. The other victims, aged 21, 47, and 70, were also taken to the hospital for treatment.

No arrests have been made as the investigation continues. Detective Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo, who is leading the investigation, described the shooting as an “act of indiscriminate violence.” According to BBC News, Bhangoo reassured the local community that police are working at pace to identify those responsible for the attack.

Authorities have urged anyone with information about the shooting to come forward and have announced an increased police presence in the area in the coming days to enhance community safety.
