Australian game developer Gregory Louden is set to release his latest title, Saros, on April 30, 2026. This game continues a recurring theme in Louden’s work, where protagonists retrace their steps, gaining confidence and skills with each iteration.

According to ABC News, Louden’s journey to becoming a game developer was not straightforward. Initially working in visual effects for films like Sucker Punch, Gravity, and Prometheus, he eventually transitioned to video games, securing roles at notable studios such as Remedy Games and Housemarque.

Saros invites players to explore the alien world of Carcosa, where they will encounter changing environments and challenges with each playthrough. Louden emphasizes that players are expected to fail and learn from their experiences, as the game is designed to evolve with each attempt.

The game features actor Rahul Kohli as the protagonist, Arjun Devraj, and incorporates authentic character portrayals, including Australian slang from supporting character Jerome Jackson. Louden’s dedication to authenticity is evident in his past projects, including the independent title Stone, which highlights Australian culture.

Describing Saros as his dream project, Louden expresses gratitude for the collaborative effort that brought the game to life. He believes that the combination of various artistic disciplines in game development creates unique and engaging experiences for players.
