According to ABC News, Clubhouse Lane off Hindley Street in Adelaide’s CBD has been renamed Hilltop Hoods Lane, honouring the pioneering Australian hip hop trio in their hometown.

The renaming was marked at a ceremony on October 15, 2026. Two large-scale murals by Adelaide artist Vans the Omega, featuring the group and associated iconography, now run along both sides of the laneway.

Hilltop Hoods members Pressure, Suffa and DJ Debris said it was an “incredible honour” to have a laneway in the city they still call home. Pressure recalled the bars and clubs in that part of town where the group played while building its career.

The landmark is the sixth addition to the City of Adelaide’s City of Music Laneway trail, joining sites recognising Cold Chisel, Sia, Paul Kelly, No Fixed Address and The Angels. Lord Mayor Jane Lomax-Smith said the group’s impact on Australian music and culture made it a worthy inclusion.

Formed around Blackwood in 1994, Hilltop Hoods have released seven ARIA number one albums, won 10 ARIA Awards and six APRA Awards. The group has recorded more than 1 million album sales and 2 billion streams, while making triple j’s Hottest 100 on 27 occasions.
