Israeli strikes on Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley have killed one person and wounded 29 others, marking a continuation of ceasefire violations in the region. According to Al Jazeera, the victim, identified as Hussein Mohsen al-Khalaf, was killed during an attack on Kfar Dan near Baalbek.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that the strikes included at least 13 separate air attacks across various locations, including Shmestar and Boudai. Damage was also noted in the Baalbek Souk area, impacting several shops.

The Israeli military announced that it targeted eight camps associated with Hezbollah’s Radwan Force, claiming these sites were used for storing weapons and conducting training for potential emergency situations. Israel characterized these activities as violations of existing agreements with Lebanon.

Despite a ceasefire established in November 2024 between Israel and Hezbollah, Israeli military actions have persisted, resulting in over 300 fatalities, including 127 civilians, according to United Nations reports. Lebanon has lodged complaints with the UN regarding thousands of Israeli violations, urging the Security Council to intervene.

The Lebanese government has stated that it is nearing completion of its commitment to disarm Hezbollah in the southern regions, although Hezbollah disputes the terms of the ceasefire agreement, asserting that disarmament applies only to specific areas.
