Lebanon’s under-17 national team was crowned champions of the 13th WAFF U-17 Championship — Aqaba 2026 — after beating Yemen 4–3 on penalties following a goalless draw in regulation time in the final played this evening at Aqaba Stadium in Jordan. The first half was evenly contested, with similar possession and exchanged attacking attempts. Lebanon maintained defensive discipline against Yemeni attacks and tried to reach the goal on several occasions, but their efforts did not produce a goal. The half also saw a number of Yemeni attempts, which the Lebanese defense dealt with successfully, while others went wide of the posts, leaving the first half goalless.
The balance continued into the second half, with both teams trading possession and attacks and each enjoying relative advantages at different moments.
