The Lions Club of Canterbury Bankstown hosted their highly anticipated Changeover Dinner at the Bankstown Sports Club on Monday, 1 July 2024. The event marked a significant occasion for the club as they installed their new board members for the upcoming year, continuing their tradition of community service and leadership.
The evening was officiated by Graham Estreich, the Cabinet Secretary of District 201N5 and Guiding Lion for the club. His presence underscored the importance of the event and the club’s dedication to upholding the values and mission of the Lions Club International. Tom Bosic, the Zone 5 Chairperson also attended the event alongside a host of members and guests.

One of the most notable moments was the recognition of Christine Nassif, the outgoing president, who was honoured with the Lion of the Year Award. This prestigious award celebrated her exemplary service to the club over her two-year tenure as president. Her leadership, dedication, and commitment to the club’s initiatives were widely acknowledged and appreciated by all in attendance.
In her heartfelt speech, Christine Nassif expressed her gratitude for the support she received during her presidency and conveyed her best wishes to the incoming president, Amal Bousamra.
