According to ABC News, a man has died after a quad bike crash near the Victoria-New South Wales border town of Wodonga.

Victoria Police said the 42-year-old crashed his bike on Huon Creek Road, south of Wodonga, just after 8pm on Monday evening. He was taken to hospital with critical injuries and later died.

Police said a report was being prepared for the coroner. WorkSafe Victoria has been contacted for comment.

The death was the second fatal quad bike incident in the region within three days. On Sunday afternoon, a man died in an incident about 90 kilometres north of Albury.

New South Wales Police alleged the man was being towed by a quad bike when he struck a goal post. A 20-year-old man has been charged with dangerous driving occasioning death and negligent driving causing death, and is due to face Wagga Wagga Local Court on Wednesday.
