According to France 24, the new South African Netflix drama “The Polygamist” is winning over global audiences. The programme was featured in the July 30, 2026 edition of “Eye on Africa,” which said it spoke with the series’ lead screenwriter.

France 24 presented the drama in a segment focused on marriage and betrayal. The broadcaster listed Netflix, South Africa, marriage and television among the related keywords for the report.

The same edition also reported that Cameroon’s President Paul Biya had not been seen in public for more than 50 days, described as his longest absence from public view. It additionally examined the effects of weeks of power cuts in Tunisia, where hundreds were believed to have died during a recent heatwave.

The “Eye on Africa” edition was produced by Clarisse Fortuné and Antonia Cimini, who were also credited for the video.
