Project Details:
We are working with The Electoral Commission to understand the opinions and experiences of those who go to vote in the upcoming elections. We are looking for participants to help us run surveys through a tablet by engaging with those community members who go voting.
Participants Requirements:
The participants will interview those who come out of voting and ask them questions about their voting experience. They will be stationed at the exit so they don’t interfere with the voting.
Participants will need to be available for three days.
– One for quick online training on how to run the surveys, ask questions, etc. Training will be done through Zoom. Duration – to be confirmed but no more than one hour.
– The second day will be Friday the 13th of September. Duration- 7.5 hours
– The third day will be Saturday, the 14th of September. Duration- 7.5 hours
We are looking for five bi-lingual participants to be available one per location, as stated in the table below- ideally, we would prefer them to speak fluently the first bolded language; if not available, we would like them to be bilingual in one of the other languages and with proficient English, as our training will be held in English.
Payment:
– Participants who qualify and attend the training will be paid $400 per day in either Coles/ Woolworths Giftcards or through bank deposit (if this is the preferred option, we will need an invoice per participant). Payment covers travelling costs and online training attendance.
Other Important Information:
– We will need the participants’ IDs as a reference and to create lanyards to be used during the day.
– Participants need to understand that they will be standing for most of the day and be able and fit to do so.
– Participants will need to meet with one of our colleagues to receive and return the tablets where they will be conducting the interviews.
– Participants should feel comfortable reaching out and talking to people in their native language
