According to ABC News, a crime scene has been established in southern New South Wales after police found a body in a suitcase at Oallen, near Goulburn. Police have not yet identified the person, who is believed to be female.

Police said they were called to Wolgon Road at Oallen just before 1pm. Officers attached to the Hume police district attended the location and found the body in the suitcase.

The suitcase has been seized for forensic examination as detectives begin their investigation. Police are continuing to work to identify the person found.

Oallen is a rural locality in the Southern Tablelands region of NSW, on the Shoalhaven River. It is about 60 kilometres south-east of Goulburn, 109 kilometres north-east of Canberra and 254 kilometres south-west of Sydney.
