According to BBC News, supporters can select their preferred starting XI for every Premier League club as the new season begins.

Champions Arsenal will open the campaign at home to promoted Coventry on Friday. Across the weekend, fans will see their new-look teams in competitive action for the first time.

The BBC Sport feature provides a team-by-team selection tool, with a 4-3-3 formation initially displayed and an option to change formation. Users can choose players for goalkeeper, defence, midfield and attack before commenting on their preferred line-up.

The clubs included are Arsenal, Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Brentford, Brighton, Chelsea, Coventry, Crystal Palace, Everton, Fulham, Hull City, Ipswich, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle, Nottingham Forest, Sunderland and Tottenham.

Players carrying minor injuries, who may be unavailable for a week or two, have been included in the choices. Those with long-term injuries have been omitted.
