Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday Commemoration in Liverpool

At the gracious invitation of the Association of Islamic Charitable Projects, Oz Arab Media, Mr Elie Kaltoum. participated in a special celebration held in Liverpool to commemorate the birth of the Prophet Muhammad 

The event was attended by Australian government representatives, Arab and foreign diplomatic and consular officials, local councillors, members of law enforcement, as well as religious, cultural and community leaders.

His Eminence Sheikh Professor Salim Alwan, Secretary-General of the Australian Fatwa Council, delivered an address highlighting the values of tolerance, compassion and respect taught by the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). He also emphasised the importance of moderation, positive engagement and respect for others within Australia’s multicultural society.

The President of the Association of Islamic Charitable Projects, Haj Mohammed Mahyou, also addressed the gathering.

The celebration also featured addresses from representatives of the New South Wales Government and other distinguished guests.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Dr Barro highlighted the significance of the occasion in remembering the life and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), particularly the values of good character, compassion and respect.

The delegation also reaffirmed the importance of continued communication, cooperation and partnership between the two organisations for the benefit of the Lebanese community and the wider Australian society.
