A refreshed and revitalised Boronia Park Playground could soon become the heart of play in Epping, with the community invited to have its say on proposed upgrades to the popular park.

The district park is set to receive a refreshed play space, including the replacement of ageing play equipment, creating an improved destination for children and families to enjoy for years to come.

City of Parramatta Lord Mayor Cr Martin Zaiter said the upcoming renewal of the Boronia Park Playground is an exciting opportunity for the community to have a say in the future design of the play space.

“Boronia Park Playground is a valued community destination for families across Epping and beyond,” Cr Zaiter said.

“This renewal gives us the opportunity to create a modern, inclusive and exciting play space that reflects how our community wants to play and connect.

“We’re inviting local families, children and park users to share what they love about the current playground and what they’d like to see included in its future upgrade”.

The project will focus on renewing playground equipment while exploring opportunities to improve supporting infrastructure, including pathways, accessibility, shade and seating.

Community feedback gathered during this first stage of consultation will help inform the development of a draft concept design, which will be presented for further community feedback in a second round of consultation.

The Boronia Park Playground renewal forms part of Council’s annual Playground Replacement Program, with community consultation also underway for proposed local playground renewals in Carlingford at Robin Street Park and Bradley Drive Reserve.

Residents can provide feedback online through Participate Parramatta or attend a community pop-up session at the playground from 3pm to 5pm on Wednesday 19 August 2026.

Feedback closes at 5pm on Monday 24 August 2026.
