A tragic accident occurred in the Belgian town of Buggenhout when a train collided with a school bus, resulting in multiple fatalities. Local media reports indicate that four individuals have died, including two teenagers. The incident took place around 8 a.m. local time at a level crossing in Buggenhout.

At the time of the accident, nine people were aboard the minibus, which included a driver, an attendant, and seven children. According to Belgian Transport Minister Jean-Luc Crucke, the death toll has been confirmed by local authorities.

Belgium’s interior minister, Bernard Quintin, described the collision as a “tragic accident” in a post on X. He expressed his condolences to the victims and their families, stating, “My thoughts go out to the victims and their loved ones. I wish the injured much strength.”
