Donald Trump will headline the Great American State Fair, marking the 250th anniversary of the United States, after several artists withdrew from the event. According to ABC News, Trump announced he would replace the canceled performances with a major speech aimed at rallying the country.

The Great American State Fair is a 16-day event running from June 25 to July 10, 2026, and will take place on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. The event will feature concert stages, state pavilions, exhibits, rides, and other attractions. However, the musical lineup has faced significant challenges, causing organizers to reassess the original plans.

Trump criticized the artists who pulled out, labeling them as “third rate” and suggesting that he is a more significant draw than any musical act. He emphasized his popularity by stating he attracts larger audiences than Elvis in his prime, even without a musical performance.

Freedom 250, the organization behind the event, confirmed Trump’s participation, stating that he would personally kick off the celebration. This public-private partnership aims to coordinate festivities for the nation’s 250th anniversary alongside various federal agencies.
