According to BBC News, Warrington Wolves beat Leeds Rhinos 14-12 in a tense Super League play-off semi-final at AMT Headingley Stadium to reach their first Grand Final in eight years. Warrington will meet either Wigan Warriors or Wakefield Trinity at Old Trafford next Saturday.

The teams were level at 12-12 at half-time after two tries each. Leeds, missing several key players and forced into a late change when Chris Hankinson was injured in the warm-up, remained in contention. Connor scored 10 points and had a 62-metre goal-kick with the final play that could have forced golden point, but his attempt fell short. Leeds coach Brad Arthur described the match-winning call as “a soft penalty”, while Warrington captain Williams said his side had “rode the waves” to reach “the big dance”.
