In the spirit of International Women’s Day, the Women’s Executive Committee of the Australian Lebanese Cultural Union (ALCU) proudly participated in a special Ladies Brunch held at El Marada House in Guildford on Friday, 13 March 2026. The gathering brought together women from across the Lebanese-Australian community to celebrate unity, strength, and the powerful role women play in shaping community life.
The brunch provided a warm and welcoming space for women to connect, exchange ideas, and celebrate the achievements of Lebanese women in Australia. With the theme “Where there is a woman… there is magic,” the event highlighted the importance of recognising and uplifting the contributions of women in leadership, community service, and cultural engagement.
Members of the ALCU Women’s Executive Committee attended the brunch as part of their continued commitment to fostering collaboration and building strong relationships with other organisations across the Lebanese community. Their presence highlighted the shared goal of supporting initiatives that empower women and encourage greater participation in community and cultural activities.
Events like this serve as an important reminder that progress is strongest when women support one another. When organisations within the Lebanese community come together, they create opportunities for discussion, mentorship, and mutual encouragement. By working collectively, women are able to amplify their voices, strengthen community bonds, and inspire the next generation of leaders.
As the Lebanese-Australian community continues to grow and evolve, the role of women supporting one another—across organisations, professions, and generations—remains essential in building a stronger, more connected future.
