Arabic version: تايتنز يسحق دراغونز وشاركس ينطلق بقوة أمام مانلي
According to ABC News, Gold Coast beat St George Illawarra 38-18 at Kogarah Oval, a result that all but consigned the Dragons to their first wooden spoon in club history. Later on Sunday, Round 21 concluded with Manly hosting Cronulla, with the Sharks leading 12-0 after 17 minutes.
The Titans led 18-10 at halftime before extending their advantage in the second half. Jayden Campbell kicked a penalty in the 51st minute, then scored a solo try in the 63rd after throwing three dummies. Earlier, De Groot scored twice, while Pascoe crossed under the posts after Kini, Randall and Pascoe combined through the middle.
The Dragons remained in contention through a Flanagan try in the 34th minute, converted by Holmes, and Liddle later scored after Holmes cut through the defence. But Gold Coast held on when Atkinson lost the ball following a Dragons challenge, before Tino crashed over from a Pascoe pass to complete the 38-18 result.
At Manly, Cronulla opened the scoring in the 12th minute when Wilton crossed after Mulitalo made a clean break and Trindall sent a short pass. Hynes converted. The home supporters objected to the pass, with the live blog describing it as an unlucky call against Manly.
The Sharks added another try five minutes later through Kennedy. Katoa tapped back a Hynes bomb, Brailey collected the ball and found Hynes, before Kaufusi delivered a no-look pass for Kennedy to score. Hynes converted for a 12-0 lead as Cronulla pursued a place in the top four and Manly sought to end a poor recent run.
